USC Liquid Propulsion Lab
Completely student-led team on a mission to design, manufacture, test, and validate liquid propulsion technology.
At LPL, our goal is to pursue in depth research into liquid propulsion technology along with giving USC students valuable experience that can prepare them as they move into the industry. Since its inception in 2015, the lab has published 7 papers for AIAA and IAC and is currently developing an additively manufactured, 2250 lbf LOx/Kerosene engine called Balerion. LPL also supports community outreach through the Base 11 intern program where mentors in the lab teach local community college students about rocket technology.
